Project for my Digital Studio class. From what I got, detournement is to take something and give it a new meaning by changing the context its in or adding something to it.
So, what I did was i juxtaposed different celebrity body parts onto the Mona Lisa. It's supposed to be a commentary on beauty and fame. Even though the Mona Lisa is so famous and world-reknown, she would have to change things about her to become famous in today's society.
This was fun to make =)

Kilusan Pilipino Shirt Design
My brother's girlfriend is in the Filipino Club at her school. They were accepting t-shirt designs so I made this one. It didn't get picked. =/ I only wished I had more time to make a better one.

Gym Class Heroes @ SDSU
Last night, I went to San Diego State's Aztec Nights where Gym Class Heroes was performing. I haven't seen them in almost a year. I really missed going to their shows. I hope they go on tour soon, though I highly doubt it since Travis is out doing his own thing right now. I sneaked my camera in and got a few nice shots =)

Check Designs
Here's the check designs I made that are due tomorrow. I did my designs with the Simpsons.
** Obviously, I just used the Bankers Trust logo and Simpsons images. I don't claim ownership of them.

Good50x70 Winners Announced
Link: Good50x70.Org
Unfortunately, I wasn't one of the winners. =/ Can't say I'm not disappointed. I thought it would be really cool to win an international poster competition. But, oh well. There's always next time. Maybe I'll apply for next year's competition or something.
I'm happy for my friend Brian. One of his posters was selected! That's so exciting. Congratulations =)
I will post my poster once I dig it out of my external hard drive.
